Therapy & Supervision for therapists, counsellors, clinicians and others working in helping professions

With Certified & Award Winning
Clinical Psychologist Dr. Johnny Latham.
Therapy and supervision that respects your professional identity while supporting you as a person. A confidential, non-performative space where
you don’t have to be “the therapist”.

T

Therapy & Supervision for you

If you’re a therapist, counsellor, psychologist, trainee, or other health professional supporting others regularly, seeking your own therapy or supervision can feel uniquely complicated.

You’re used to holding complexity, thinking psychologically, and being emotionally available, often without a space where you don’t have to do that.

I offer therapy and clinical supervision specifically for therapists and helping professionals, grounded in Clinical Psychology principles, enhanced by CBT expertise, and shaped by a deeply relational, integrative approach.

While CBT is part of my core training, my work is not about reducing your experience to techniques, worksheets, or overly neat formulations.

Instead, we work at the level of meaning, emotional process, relational patterns, and professional identity, drawing flexibly on CBT, compassion-focused, psychodynamic, systemic and reflective practice as needed.

Specifically tailored

This space is for
   •    Therapists feeling burnt out, depleted, or disconnected from their work
   •    Clinicians carrying self-doubt, imposter feelings, or perfectionism
   •    Practitioners navigating ethical dilemmas, complexity, or stuck cases
   •    Therapists who want CBT supervision or skills development without losing nuance
   •    Helping professionals facing life transitions, illness, grief, or role strain

What makes this different
   •    You won’t be “done to” with CBT techniques
   •    Your professional knowledge is respected, not assumed away
   •    We pay attention to how the work affects you, not just how you do the work
   •    Complexity is welcomed
   •    Supervision includes space for reflection, emotional impact, and clinical thinking

Whether you’re coming for therapy, supervision, or skills consultation, the emphasis is on psychological safety, clinical depth, and thoughtful collaboration.

About me

I’m Johnny Latham, a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience working in NHS physical and mental health settings, alongside academic, supervisory, and teaching roles. Much of my work involves supporting people, including other clinicians, who are carrying complexity, uncertainty, and responsibility over long periods of time.

Alongside my CBT training, my practice is shaped by years of working with emotional distress in contexts where things don’t resolve neatly: serious illness, risk, professional responsibility, and relational strain.

This has strongly influenced how I work with therapists — with an emphasis on psychological safety, depth, and respect for professional identity.

Costs & Location

Costs

Sessions for therapists and helping professionals are offered at professional rates,

reflecting the specialist nature of this work.

Individual therapy (50 minutes): £120–£150
Clinical supervision / consultation (60 minutes): £110–£140

Location

In-person sessions for this strand of my work are offered from a private, self-contained space near Princes Park/Sefton Park, separate from my usual city-centre practice.

This space is intentionally quieter and more contained - often valued by therapists who want their own therapy or supervision to feel distinct from professional environments and roles.

Online sessions remain available where preferred.
